Final Outlook

There is no doubt that the TCU Horned Frogs belong in the NCAA Tournament.

TCU’s worst losses are to Oklahoma State and West Virginia, who are quad two teams. Unlike most teams on the bubble, TCU does not have a single “bad” loss. In addition to big wins at home and on the road, and a great strength of schedule.

While the Horned Frogs did finish the season rather weak, losing 5 of 7 to finish the regular season, they did an excellent job of winning meaningful games, taking the final two games before their second round loss to Kansas State, the top seed in the Big 12 Tournament.

TCU will likely have to play in a play-in game in Dayton, but that is totally fine. The Horned Frogs will have every chance to prove themselves as a tournament team in the First Four, and if they win, they’ll find themselves in a flip situation of last season, when they lost to Syracuse as a six seed, after the Orange won their play-in game in Dayton.

TCU has the means to make a big run in the NCAA tournament, and there is no reason why they should be stripped of the opportunity to make it there. Their NET ranking, SOS, and record all match up well against just about every other bubble team.

Next. . dark

It will certainly be a nervous Selection Sunday for the TCU fans and players alike, but if they numbers actually don’t lie, then the TCU Horned Frogs will surely find themselves in firm positioning in the field of 68, for the second consecutive season.
