The Big 12 Basketball season was exciting but now it’s time for postseason play. We now get ready for these teams to make a run in the NCAA Tournament.

It was a competitive Big 12 Basketball season. For much of the season, it seemed as if it was possible that eight of the ten teams would make the NCAA Tournament but when the bracket was revealed only six Big 12 teams were included.

One of the biggest things for all the teams is that most of them have dealt with injuries this season. This is one of the reasons that they’ve been inconsistent as they’ve each had to change their playing style often.

These aren’t just role players getting injured for these teams either. We saw Udoka Azubuike go down at Kansas while Makai Mason has missed extended time for Baylor. Every team deals with some sort of injuries or drama but the Big 12 conference dealt with far more than the majority of team’s did.

People continue to question the Big 12 as a conference due to not having an elite team but top to bottom it has been an extremely competitive conference year in and year out and it was much of the same this season. Oklahoma State and West Virginia struggled for much of the season but even they had some good wins this season.

Last season three teams from the Big 12 made the Elite Eight and they will look to have similar success this season. It may take a little bit of luck for that to happen but these teams are more than capable of making a run. How far do you think these teams will advance? Play Realtime Brackets and make your picks. Here are some of the biggest Big 12 storylines heading into the NCAA Tournament that could determine how far some of the teams will go.
