SEC Basketball managed to get seven teams into the NCAA Tournament this year. Now that they’re in, what happens next?

The SEC has had its fair share of storylines throughout the season. However, they saved their best for last. Alabama pushed for a final seed to no avail, although they did upset Ole Miss in the SEC Basketball Tournament. Florida was on the bubble, but managed to cement their stake with an upset win over LSU. They then were subject to one of the most controversial calls in SEC Tournament history, when no foul was called on the last-second shot by Nembhard against Auburn.

Despite the controversial ending, Auburn has been one of the hottest teams in the country. They live or die on the three-ball, and that has been to their advantage lately. They have been in a groove the entire SEC Tournament, and it’s what helped them win the entire thing, avenging the bad taste in their mouth last year left by Alabama.

All of this doesn’t even include what happened on the other side of the bracket. Tennessee and Kentucky battled for a potential 1-seed in the NCAA Tournament, and Tennessee stole a win in the final minutes. However, their next loss to Auburn all but destroyed their chances to earn that privilege.

Looking forward, there will be tons of storylines to follow. LSU has a ton of questions after their meltdown against Florida. Tennessee and Florida are still butting heads to see who the best team is. Auburn is looking to carry the momentum from their recent success into the Tournament. With all that being said, this is what SEC fans need to be paying attention to as March rolls on.
