The NCAA Tournament is full of chaos every season. There are plenty of team’s capable of making a Final Four run including some lower seeds.

This NCAA Tournament field is full of quality teams at each seed line who are capable of making a deep run. The favorites are teams such as the Duke Blue Devils, North Carolina Tar Heels, and the Gonzaga Bulldogs but many other teams are capable of cutting down the nets.

A team seeded 7th or lower has made the Final Four in seven of the past eight seasons. In 2011 the Final Four included the 8th seeded Butler Bulldogs and the 11th seeded VCU Rams. We also witnessed a national championship game in 2014 when the 7th seeded Connecticut Huskies took down the 8th seeded Kentucky Wildcats.

One thing you may notice is that the Final Four in 2011 included two cinderella mid-majors while the 2014 title game featured two top programs who had disappointing regular seasons before making a big run.

That is one area you can look when picking a Cinderella, check for major programs who just underachieved but still have the talent and coach to get to a Final Four. Other teams like that include the Michigan State Spartans in 2015 and the Syracuse Orange in 2016.

The top seeds are always the safe pick in the NCAA Tournament but the lower seeds are also more than capable of making a Final Four. Here are some of the teams that can make a run like that as well as the higher seeds who will advance deep.
