SEC Basketball: Tennessee, Kentucky, and Georgia top uniforms in league
By Erik Mauro
As sports fans, we are all ingrained into the intricacies of our sport. Superstition, statistics, season tickets, the whole lot. A select group of people though, are quite fond of uniforms teams wear and the aesthetics. Who has the best look in SEC Basketball?
There really isn’t any specific criteria other than just opinion. I’m the one writing it, so that’s my criteria. Some SEC Basketball teams pull it off well, some try a little too hard, and some just don’t give any effort at all.
During this list you will notice a theme. Innovative ideas, accent colors (outlining), and anything that just makes the jersey look a little more neat and tidy will be ranked just a little bit higher than other teams.
There are the classics like Kentucky and Tennessee. The checkerboard is a great idea and very few teams are doing it. Not to mention, it probably adds to the Kentucky-Tennessee rivalry a little.
“MY CHECKERBOARD IS BETTER!”
“NO MINE IS!”
Anyway, there are 14 SEC teams we are ranking here, and it’s a nice way to have a little fun as you bite your nails about your team’s upcoming NCAA Tournament…or NIT game.
It’s always important to remember this one tip when watching sports: Uniforms are important, kids.
So, without any further ado, in the words of the legendary Cleveland Indians announcer Harry Doyle, “it’s amazing what a new uniform can do to change your outlook on a guy!”
