5. Florida Gators

The Gators always look pretty snazzy in the uniform department, regardless of the sport. Basketball is no different.

Orange and blue is a really nice color scheme though, so it’s no surprise the Gators look good.

The road blues do a nice job of complementing these colors. The blue base with orange numbers/letters, and the white outline around the font makes this beautifully done.

A thick, orange stripe down the side of the uniform with a diagonally done thin stripe running through the original run up the whole uniform. That’s an innovative idea, and the white stripe on the blue uniform is what I’m talking about here.

The home whites say “Gators” across the front. It’s rare a team uses their mascot as the type across their jersey. It’s different, and it works. The orange font with blue outlining sticks to the color scheme.

Orange alternates add to the set for the Gators.

Come on, orange uniforms look so nice, especially when laid out like this. The blue font with white outlining makes it clear to see and provides just enough contrast. Like LSU’s gold alternate though, there is a white stripe around the waist. They forgot to finish the uniform.

To round out the set is a white throwback, and we like throwbacks here at Busting Brackets. A white uniform with “FLORIDA” written across it, with alternating blue and orange piping all throughout the uniform, making for a nice contrast of colors. These were donned against Missouri back in February.

The Gators get an 8 out of 10. Again, the orange uniform that’s unfinished in the waistline gets a downgrade.
