10. Vanderbilt Commodores

The ‘Dores are kind of here by default.

Default in the way that the other nine teams have clearly better uniforms, but the ‘Dores do some nice things in the uniform department themselves, but there are lots of flaws.

First, the home whites. The clear problem here is the gold numbers. The white and gold are way too close to each other they can be hard to make out from a distance. That’s the only gold on the uniform.

These would look a lot better if gold was used as strictly an outline or striping color. Or even as an alternate uniform, like these to the left.

Is it just me, or is the gold on those alternates a different shade than the numbers on the home uniforms? Come on, Vandy, be consistent!

This is other sports, too. The gold for Vanderbilt football is a lot darker shade than the basketball shade, at least from watching it on TV.

Unfortunately, they didn’t win a conference game this season. However, they didn’t look aesthetically ugly when doing it.

These get a 5 of 10. Nice color combo, but the color shading isn’t always the same or they blend together just a little too much.
