7. Mississippi State Bulldogs

Okay, originally I was not very bullish on the Bulldogs uniforms. That’s because the standard home whites and road maroons are quite boring.

Where they win me over is the throwbacks and alternates they have.

The Bulldogs have two alternates, a gray and black uniform. The gray is about as bland as bland gets. A grey jersey with white numbering and even a different shade of grey for the names on the back of the jersey. Come on, Dawgs, at least try a little bit.

Once again, it’s hard to make a color and white stand out, and Mississippi State struggles with that with their normal unis. (However two teams in the conference do a good job of making white stand out, more on that later.)

Anyway, the alternate uniforms. The black unis first. A black base uniform with white numbers and letters, but what really gets you is the accent maroon color. The striping looks the same as the picture above, but instead of sticking with black all the way through the uniform, the stripes are filled in with the maroon color.

This adds some flavor to the uniform, so it isn’t just straight laced black and white the whole way through, which let’s be honest is just boring.

The cream throwback alternates say “STATE” across the front with maroon lettering and numbering all the way through.

Look, can’t we all agree that cream colored throwbacks are the way to go these days and everybody should have one?

All in all, some boring, and some nice ones here. We will give the Bulldogs a 7.5 out of 10.
