When it comes to both the Sweet 16 and Elite of the NCAA Tournament, drama filled the games with incredible finishes.

After the first weekend of basketball left much to be desired in the drama department, the second weekend made up for it. With only 2 of the top 16 seeds not making the Sweet 16, and both those teams from the same state in Kansas and Kansas State, it left people to wonder is this tournament a boring one or is it good for the sport to have so many blue bloods left. I was on the side of wanting to have more of a Cinderella story than Oregon who in my opinion were playing more like a 7 or 8 seed than a 12. But, I still sat on my couch, and watched almost every game, and boy did they not disappoint.

Sweet 16 (Thursday games)

Thursday had in my opinion the game of the tournament in Purdue and Tennessee as Ryan Cline went off down the wire in regulation to get it to overtime, and Tennessee ran out of gas. Cline shot an amazing 70% from beyond the arc and had 27 for the game. His teammate Carsen Edwards just had to one up him with 29. Purdue led by as much as 18 in the game until Tennessee came storming back and after a fairly boring Florida State Gonzaga-game I was more than intrigued.

Then a clinic was put on by Texas Tech against Michigan in a 63-44 that was yet another snoozer. But, then we were all treated again with Oregon vs Virginia as Oregon stayed with them to the last-minute losing 53-49, and it made me wonder if Payton Pritchard didn’t have arguably his worst shooting game of the season would they have won.
