There are four teams left recruiting Cole Anthony: Oregon, Notre Dame, Georgetown, and North Carolina. How would he fit at each NCAA basketball school?

With the NCAA basketball season coming to a close, many schools have transitioned the majority of their efforts to the recruiting front. As is always the case, it is impossible to build a winning tradition without quality recruiting and programs are always eager to land some of the top prospects in each respective class. And while many of the elite 2019 recruiting prospects have already chosen their future schools, there are a few highly sought-after players still uncommitted. Perhaps above all others, combo guard Cole Anthony has not only narrowed his list but also has set a decision date.

Ranked as the No. 4 overall recruit in the 2019 class, Anthony is an extremely talented player. Well known for his elite-level quickness off the bounce, he is one of the most dangerous 1-on-1 players in the country. His first step is incredible and he is also tremendously creative around the rim due to his bouncy athleticism and ridiculous body control. Anthony is also regarded quite highly on the defensive end of the floor and could be the most exciting freshman in the country next season. He is also the son of former NBA player and current analyst Greg Anthony so basketball runs through his veins.

Here is a quick dive into his statistics over the past year:

  • EYBL Circuit (21 games): 26.8 ppg (.441/.380/.892), 7.8 rpg, and 3.8 apg.
  • Oak Hill (22 games): 17.8 ppg (.489/.371/.873), 10.0 rpg, and 10.0 apg

He was also named the MVP of the McDonald’s All-American Game as he posted 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists. His all-around game was on full display in that performance as he showed that he can be more than just a scorer.

Cole Anthony is planning on making his final college decision on April 20. He is down to Oregon, Notre Dame, Georgetown, and North Carolina. Of course, all of these programs would be excellent landing spots for the talented guard and it will be interesting to see what school he will eventually choose. So, without any further ado, let’s dive into Anthony’s final four schools and how he might fit at each?
