The Big 12 Basketball season was exciting with many talented players. Jarrett Culver is one guy who has been great during the NCAA Tournament while many others have as well.

For the majority of the team’s, this wasn’t a successful NCAA Tournament for Big 12 Basketball. They only had one team advance past the first weekend in the Texas Tech Red Raiders who have advanced all the way to the Final Four.

Despite not having a lot of team success we have still had some players who put up big performances. Kansas State and Iowa State were the two team’s who didn’t advance to at least the second round, but they did have some good individual performances during the NCAA Tournament.

Makol Maiwen was impressive in the Wildcats first-round loss against UC Irvine as he finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds, but outside of him the team really struggled. In the Cyclones loss against Ohio State, Marial Shayok had a good game just as he has for much of the season. He had 23 points, five rebounds, and three steals in the season-ending loss.

Many other players were impressive which is a big reason why the other teams won at least one game. The obvious candidates are the Texas Tech players since they reached the Final Four while no other team won more than one game.

None of the Oklahoma players made the team which was hard for me to do. They had a few who were very impressive, most notably Brady Manek who also had a good game against Virginia. Some of the other big snubs were Davide Moretti, Makai Mason, and Devon Dotson.
