19. Penn Quakers

2018-19 season record: 19-12 (7-7 in Ivy League)

It was an interesting year to say the least for the Quakers. They defeated Villanova in route to winning the Big 5 title for the first time in a while. But they also had to win their final three conference games to even qualify for the Ivy League Tournament. This team also had three straight overtime games and five overall (went 1-4) since December 31.

What has to be taken into account was that Penn was missing their second-best player Ryan Betley for the entire season and had to deal with injuries at times to other players. Other players had to step up, including junior Devon Goodman scoring 10 more ppg and star forward AJ Brodeur leading the team in all three main categories (17.6 ppg, 8.3 rpg, and 3.6 apg).

The Quakers will lose four rotation players including key guard Antonio Woods but along with Betley’s return will feature more prominent roles from rising sophomores Bryce Washington and Michael Wang. If this duo continues their development next year Penn won’t have to sweat it out to make the Ivy League Tournament.
