NCAA Basketball: Predicting remaining 2019 open head coaching jobs

New NCAA Basketball coaching jobs are coming open every day. Who an AD hires can make or break a program. Here is a list of all of the current job openings and the coaches expected to get those jobs.

As the coaching carousel continues to spin, successful coaches are leaving their current jobs for new jobs and usually promotions. Assistant coaches are getting promoted to head coaches and every AD is conducting a diligent search to make sure they hire the right guy for the job. Earlier this month, I predicted the first set of open jobs and what coaches would wind up in those jobs. Some of those jobs are still open, and new jobs have opened due to firings or incumbent coaches leaving.

This article is a prediction as to who will get the job based on fit, and current searches being conducted by the university. Many of these individuals are hot names within the mid-major coaching market, and a few are former successful coaches waiting for their next opportunity. Any coach who takes a new job is going to have to pick up the pieces of a broken roster and their staffs will be extremely important for recruiting and installing the new culture.

Many of the current jobs are high-profile jobs and a job any mid major coach would love to have. The following predictions are only on jobs that are currently open. The jobs that may come open were not touched on in this writing. The predictions for the second set of job openings is below. Many of these are likely to happen, while the others may still throw a curveball to everyone and hire someone not on anyone’s radar.
