Kansas Jayhawks

If Kansas is involved in the recruitment of any player, then they are certainly worth discussing. Under head coach Bill Self, the Jayhawks have not only been one of the most consistently successful programs on the court but also on the recruiting trail as well. And while this past season was slightly disappointing, the program should be right back in the national title conversation sooner rather than later. In my opinion, that should also be at the core of the program’s pitch to Tristan Enaruna.

Unlike the other two programs remaining, Kansas is likely to be a national title contender throughout Enaruna’s collegiate experience. This is a reasonable assumption to make because Coach Self has never received a worse seed than a No. 4 in his 16 seasons with the program (and he has made the tournament each year). Quite simply, there are not many schools in the country that have been as consistent over the past several years and Enaruna could be a major piece for the future of the program.

Now that Kansas is seemingly out of the running to land Matthew Hurt, they could do a “full-court press” on the recruitment of Enaruna. And with their current roster construction, they could even offer him plenty of playing time right away in 2019-20. Precious Achiuwa (another top 2019 uncommitted player), though, could be the top priority as well. It will be interesting to see how this recruitment plays out from a Kansas perspective but they are certainly involved.

Before I dive into my final prediction for Enaruna’s commitment, here is a look at his upcoming visit schedule: Miami (April 24), Creighton (April 26), and Kansas (April 28).

Final Prediction: Creighton. In my opinion, I think it will be really hard to turn down the national title aspirations of Kansas but Creighton just seems like an outstanding fit to me. The Big East is still a very strong conference and he will be able to play big minutes from the start. The Bluejays have been prioritizing Enaruna for a very long time and the match is relatively clear.
