With the late signing period beginning for NCAA basketball, some of the top 2019 recruiting prospects are expected to make their collegiate decisions.
Recruiting season is upon us. With the NCAA basketball season now complete, the main focus for programs around the country will now be on finding their next stars. For many schools, head coaches are seeking out the “diamonds in the rough” to potentially join their teams in the future. The bluebloods, though, are stuck in heated recruiting battles to land some of the top-rated uncommitted prospects left in the nation. And with the late signing period getting underway, three massive decision dates are looming.
Over the course of the next few days, three of the top-30 players from the 2019 class will be making their college decisions. Matthew Hurt, a 6-foot-9 power forward from Minnesota, is the first of these as he will announce on April 19th. Then, just a few days later on April 22nd, two highly-rated guards in Cassius Stanley and Cole Anthony will be making their respective decisions. These players have been heavily recruited by some of the top programs in the nation over the past few years and it will be interesting to see where they end up.
With regards to the late signing period, there are not many uncommitted 2019 prospects remaining that will be immediate impact players during the upcoming season. There are certainly bound to be some surprising stars but these three represent not only potentially elite collegiate players but those with legitimate NBA aspirations. Now, without any further ado, let’s dive quickly into each of the three players poised to commit and analyze their recruiting status (maybe some predictions tossed in as well).
