The 2018-19 season was one filled with excitement for Big 12 Basketball, and next season will be a tough act to follow. Nonetheless, here are the way too early Big 12 Power Rankings.

The Big 12 Basketball season has come to an end, and it is safe to say that this season was one of the more exciting in recent memory.

The Big 12 had six tournament teams, with one of them, Texas Tech, making it all the way to the National Championship game. The Red Raiders were the first Big 12 Basketball team to play in the National Championship since the Kansas Jayhawks in 2012.

Past the Red Raiders, the Big 12 was a very deep league. Teams such as Kansas State, Iowa State, and Baylor all stood out, while preseason picks such as Texas, TCU, and West Virginia struggled.

As for NBA potential, the Big 12 will certainly have at least two players picked in the NBA draft lottery, with the potential for a couple more players to be picked in the draft as a whole. Between NBA talent and college talent, the Big 12 was an exciting league in the 2018-19 season.

Looking forward to next season, the Big 12 looks a whole lot different. Teams such as Texas Tech and Kansas are going to look a lot different, while teams like West Virginia and Texas expect to be very much improved.

Without further delay, let’s finish off the Big 12 Basketball season on a proper note by looking forward to next season. It might be early, but it is certainly never too early for our Big 12 rendition of the “way too early Big 12 Power Rankings”.
