Rayjon Tucker

Rayjon Tucker is an exciting player who can make a difference on both ends of the floor. His ability to score the basketball would make him a huge threat in the Big 12. It would make Kansas a title favorite and he likely would be their number one scoring option on the wing outside of Udoka Azubuike.

He was a solid player during his time at Florida Gulf Coast, but he really took it to another level during his season at Arkansas Little Rock this past season. He started 30 games averaging 20.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. His scoring was efficient as well as he knocked down 49% of his shots including 41% from three-point range.

His three-point shooting is where he will be a huge help next season. That was an area the Jayhawks struggled in for the majority of last season and after LeGerald Vick left the team they didn’t have anybody they could rely on.

He would be a great fit alongside Devon Dotson in the backcourt. They have other possible recruits they could bring in, but if they were able to bring in Tucker that would be a huge boost for them. Marcus Garrett and Ochai Agbaji are both good players, but having a guy like Tucker would take them to the next level.

He has had interest from many teams such as North Carolina and Auburn, but after his recent visit to Auburn, it seems as if they have the edge. He visits Lawrence on May 3rd so we’ll have to wait and see how that goes before we have an idea of the chances he becomes a Jayhawk.
