Oregon Ducks

Oregon is seemingly always in the conversation when it comes to landing top recruits. Under head coach Dana Altman, the program has definitely taken the next step on the recruiting trail and they seem firmly in the running to land Barnes as well. As of right now, many view the Ducks as a potential frontrunner due to their longstanding interest in the recruitment of Barnes. It also doesn’t hurt that he has already made the cross-country trip to officially visit the campus – or that the program is coming off of yet another strong run in the NCAA Tournament.

With regards to that visit, though, Barnes had this to say:

"“That visit to Oregon was good. I saw the facilities, they are very nice, school wise, it is really good. I see that they can help me become a better person off of the court, as well. It was very nice.”"

Given Coach Altman’s recruiting and postseason successes as of late, it seems likely that Oregon will remain near the top of Barnes’ list moving forward. The Ducks have landed some other top-tier prospects in the past, including Bol Bol most recently, and Barnes could be the next in line. Potentially unlike the next three programs on this list, Oregon would represent a place where Barnes would be handed the keys to the offense as the best player while also competing at an extremely high level.

Oregon is an elite program when it comes to recruiting but Barnes would be their top commit and the immediate star on the roster in 2020-21.
