NCAA Basketball: Top 5 options for transfer Jordan Brown
By Chris Kern
3. Oregon
The Oregon Ducks have continued to build themselves as a national power under their head coach Dana Altman. They have struggled some over the past two seasons which included an NIT berth in 2018, but they were able to win the Pac 12 Tournament this season to earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament where they would advance to the Sweet 16 as a 12 seed.
The Ducks have had a very good run over the last nine years with Altman at the helm as they have had more than 21 wins in each season. That run includes six NCAA Tournament appearances as well as the Final Four run in 2017.
They have a very talented roster with young guys, but many of them are NBA prospects and could declare this summer and if not they very likely could after next season. Kenny Wooten and Louis King had exciting seasons under Altman and they improved their draft stock a lot and Brown could make a similar jump on NBA radars.
Those two put their athleticism and skill on full display during Oregon’s run in March and they were key to this team making it to the Sweet 16. They both made an impact on both ends of the floor, but after falling just short against Virginia their time in college might be over.
The 2019 recruiting class for Oregon is very exciting though. They have three players in the top 100 according to 247sports led by two skilled forwards in Chandler Lawson and CJ Walker. Those two could limit his production some, but they’re all good players and Dana Altman has done a good job coaching the talent he has brought in so Brown shouldn’t worry too much about the potential lack of playing time.
