With the NBA Draft early entry declaration deadline behind us, which teams are currently in the best position to win Pac-12 Basketball next season?

This past season for men’s Pac-12 Basketball is one that the commissioner and athletic directors would like to forget. With just three teams making the NCAA Tournament, the conference is at the lowest point it has been in its history. The Pac-12 was host to the worst high-major team, the eight best winning percentage, a losing record to the WCC, and didn’t have a single team on any of the Top-8 seed lines in the NCAA Tournament.

Despite such a painful season, and many players currently declared for the NBA Draft, the Pac-12 should take a step forward next season. Arizona, USC and Oregon have all brought in solid recruiting classes. Colorado and Arizona State all return solid cores. Finally, UCLA, Cal and Washington State have all seemingly figured out their previously disastrous coaching situations.

The Pac-12 still has a long way to go, and the bottom does appear to be improving tremendously from last season, but this year should be more exciting to watch. One thing that will make this season exciting is how close the top six teams should be heading into the season. With a ton of parity at the top, we will likely not see the same level of dominance Washington showed for most of this past season. However, it should make for an exciting race.

So let’s take a look at how the Pac-12 currently looks in our Way-Too-Early Power Rankings.

Note: These rankings are on teams as they are today. No draft entrants, transfers or uncommited recruits have been included in the rosters.
