As the 2019 NBA Draft approaches, who do the prospects compare to in Game of Thrones?

There seems to be a cultural phenomenon happening right now. It’s all over social media, every person it talking about it, and it seems to be at the forefront of every conversation being had in the spring of 2019. Obviously, you all know what I’m talking about: the NBA Draft.

In all seriousness, Game of Thrones has taken center stage this season, and it seems as if it will take months for people to stop talking about it. Whether you have caught up, you’re catching up, or you’ve never seen an episode, you probably have something to say about the HBO series.

Much like Game of Thrones, college basketball seeks to find one true king out of all teams. This year, the honor went to Virginia, although much blood was shed during the process. Now, former players have decided to forego their remaining years in college to declare for the NBA Draft. In a few months, these former college stars will be at the center of every draft debate. Every player will perform workouts and interviews to increase their stock in hopes of being drafted to a new team. Relatively speaking, they will be joining a new House.

Whether you are a star at Duke like Zion Williamson, a mid major sensation like Ja Morant, or a name out of the limelight like Jontay Porter, you will be fighting for placement in the draft. While other writers will spend their time creating comparisons to former NBA players, I decided to compare them to Game of Thrones characters.

Some will be physical comps, some will be situational, and some will just be fun to write about. Despite the reasoning, here is my comps for 10 NBA Draft prospects.

Also, spoiler alert. Obviously.
