NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Ranking 2019 guard Jalen Cone’s final 6 schools
By Josh Stevens
No. 6 – Boston College
The Eagles last season 9-3, but then faltered in the after that going 5-14 to close the season. This team is extremely far away from his home in North Carolina, and just does not have the culture as some of the other schools on this list. I think they are bringing up the rear in his recruitment right now, He never made an official visit to Boston, and they are not a team where he is going to win a tournament or even make the NCAA tournament with consistency.
They would be able to offer him playing time right away, but the exposure would be lacking. If that is something he cares about, he should look elsewhere, as many of the Eagles games are usually on the ACC Network only available in certain packages. They would allow him to feature from basically day one, but that did not work for other players such as Olivier Hanlan and Ky Bowman just this year.
The Eagles would allow Cone to play under the radar where the expectations are lower than any of his other top schools. They are desperate for a player to continue their solid tradition of point guards with the previously mentioned Hanlan and Bowman. He could come in and play instantly if Bowman chooses to stay in the NBA draft.
