Who are the faces of NCAA Basketball’s marquee programs? We create a Mount Rushmore for each of the top 25 programs of all time.

NCAA basketball folklore is filled with the legends of great players and coaches who carried their programs to new heights or accomplished outstanding feats that we feel may never be duplicated.

Of course, the ranking of who’s the greatest depends on the person, but the greatness of certain players and coaches isn’t debatable – it’s accepted as fact rather than opinion.

Who are these players and coaches for the best programs in the country? After all, someone had to make these blue-blood programs and traditional powerhouses what they are today. Who is responsible for that?

We have identified the top 25 college basketball programs of all-time and have come up with a Mount Rushmore for each consisting of the best and most relevant coaches and players ever to don the school’s colors.

These programs were picked based on a number of metrics, including national championships, conference championships and weeks ranked in the AP Top 25, among other things. The representatives on each Mount Rushmore were picked based on varying factors that signal how great they were/are and what they meant/mean to the school.

So, without further ado, here is the Mount Rushmore for the top 25 college basketball programs of all-time, listed alphabetically.
