NCAA basketball recruiting is starting to heat up with several major decisions coming this weekend. Who is making their final announcement?
Welcome to the heart of NCAA basketball recruiting season. While recruiting is certainly a 365-day process for programs around the nation, this is the most important time of year as recruits start to narrow down their lists and make final decisions. With regards to this particular offseason, there are still several top 2019 prospects available while 2020 players are starting to make their early commitments as well. This time of year is an absolute whirlwind on the recruiting circuit and it is extremely exciting even if there aren’t any actual college games.
During this coming weekend, at least four major top-100 prospects will be making their college decisions. First, Jalen Cone (’19) and Ethan Morton (’20) are deciding on May 9th. These two expect to be headlining news throughout the day but could be overshadowed just one day later when highly-discussed 2019 prospects Johnny Juzang and Lester Quinones make their commitments official. To put it simply, the next couple of days have the potential to shake up the college basketball landscape quite a bit.
It is impossible to say which school each player will eventually end up at, but each seems to have a “favorite” at this point in time. If there are any surprises, though, this could have a major impact not only on this coming season but also on the future. Now, without any further ado, let’s dive into some quick recruiting updates on each of the four major players expected to commit in the coming days.
