One and dones seem to be all the rage, but these five freshmen are returning to school, and that is good for NCAA Basketball.

The NBA draft is quickly approaching and we are bound to hear the term “one and done”, probably ad nauseam by the time the first pick is announced. With the trio of Duke freshmen, Zion Williamson, R.J. Barrett, and Cam Reddish among a multitude of first-year NCAA Basketball players that will hear their names called early as the one and done trend continues to grow.

Not every first-year players that put up strong seasons did so under the bright lights and full of highlights, some of these guys did so in smaller gyms in front of smaller crowds.

That doesn’t mean there aren’t talented players returning for their second season. These “one and not done” players had very little difficulty adjusting to college life on the floor in their first year. These five players are looking for sensational sophomore seasons, after fantastic freshmen campaigns.

The one and done players get the top stories on Sportscenter when it may seem as the media drives the narrative that these players have one eye on the NBA while the other one is focused on their collegiate careers, even if that does seem like a foregone conclusion.

While there are surely more guys in college basketball that could be a part of this list, but these are five players that have decided to buck the trend of one year in college and off to professional pastures. These five “one and not dones” are as good for the sport as those that will hear their names called in June.
