No. 3 – North Carolina

The Tar Heels are a team that did most of their damage in the NBA before the turn of the century. They have had five HOF players including arguably the greatest of all time Michael Jordan. They have also had players like Bob McAdoo, Billy Cunningham, and James Worthy. I would take those four on my team any day of the week. I am not going to talk about Jordan much as his 30 points per game speaks for its self during his career. But, the others are fair game.

Cunningham averaged a double-double in his career in the NBA, but both McAdoo and Brad Daugherty were close just missing by half a rebound each. There are also some very solid starters throughout history as well. Vince Carter, Antawn Jamison, Ty Lawson, Harrison Barnes, and Jerry Stackhouse to name a few of them.

These players have been number one options at some point in their careers, and there is an extensive list of players from North Carolina that can say that. After thinking about that how can any school be better than the Tar Heels? Well, if this list was five years earlier, Carolina could be number one, but for now, they fall to number three.
