Moussa Diabate – Daytona Beach, FL

PF | 6-foot-10 | 200 lbs | No. 7 overall

Moussa Diabate, a French product, is playing for DME Academy in the United States and has quickly blossomed into one of the more highly sought-after players in the 2021 class. An excellent big man with the ability to run the floor, finish above the rim, and play at a high level on the defensive end. There is definite room for improvement with regards to his game but the ceiling is insanely high for Diabate. He has all of the physical tools and athleticism to be an incredible defender and strong offensive weapon in transition as a big man.

While playing in four contest for Nightrydas Elite (17U) this EYBL season, Diabate’s impact has been present although his numbers are not tremendous. To this point, he is averaging 6.5 points. 5.8 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks while playing fewer than 20 minutes per game. Either way, he has shown flashes of being a superb big man. He was also reportedly incredibly impressive at the Alley-Oop event.

Due to Diabate’s ridiculous ceiling, he could make a powerhouse program very happy in a couple of years. There are already so many offensive-minded prospects in the country and his ability to impact each game tremendously on the defensive end will be something that many coaches will be attracted to.
