RJ Hampton is close to making a decision regarding his NCAA Basketball future. What are the pros and cons for each of his final options?

With Jaden McDaniels committing to Washington earlier this week, RJ Hampton is the last five-star uncommitted player in the 2019 NCAA Basketball recruiting class. The consensus top-10 overall prospect reclassified and originally was viewed as a likely future Duke Blue Devil for next season. But various moves and recruiting news took them out of the picture.

Now the 6’5 combo guard is reportedly down to Memphis, Texas Tech and Kansas. All programs have various strong suits that are currently appealing to a player like Hampton and could very well end up with the prized recruit. What they would be getting is a quality perimeter player who can both handle the ball like a point guard and shoot it like a two-guard as well. He’s a likely one and done player who could end up being the key for a Final Four run in 2020.

With Hampton’s decision coming on May 28, that’s actually one day before the deadline for NCAA Basketball players to withdraw from the NBA Draft. One of these teams still has guys making decisions, so who knows if it’ll play a part of what this five-star guard chooses to do.

With all of the class of 2019 star players taken care of and the best grad transfers already choosing their new respective programs, Hampton is a must-get for any of these three. Is there a clear-cut choice for him to pick from or do all the pros and cons make it a tougher choice than we originally thought?
