Reece Beekman – Baton Rouge, LA

PG | 6-foot-2 | 160 lbs | No. 130 overall

One of the best playmakers in the 2020 class, Reece Beekman is an elite point guard. His court vision is tremendous and the passing ability is evident. While he can definitely seek out his own basket on occasion at all three levels, he is better while dictating the offense and creating for others. Beekman has the potential to be a true floor general during this college career and will be a great addition for any program seeking his commitment.

On the EYBL circuit, Beekman has functioned as the primary playmaker for top-5 prospects Jalen Johnson (’20) and Patrick Baldwin (’21) on Phenom University. Across the first 12 contests of the circuit, he is averaging 10.8 points (.465/.310/.818), 4.2 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game. These numbers showcase his solid all-around offensive game as he has been a major reason for his team’s success (11-2) to this point in the year.

Due to the fact that Wisconsin has already landed Bowman in this class, the need for another point guard has diminished a bit as of late. With that said, though, the current roster construction of the Badgers means they could need extra guard depth coming from the 2020 class and Beekman would be a great addition.
