The Oklahoma City Thunder hold the 21st overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and should have a number of intriguing options to choose from that could bolster their roster right away.

It seems like just yesterday the Oklahoma City Thunder were viewed as a potential dynasty of the future with a treasure-trove of young stars in Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden accompanied by veteran leadership and more promising young talent.

In the 2011-12 season, Oklahoma City advanced all the way to the NBA Finals where they eventually fell in five games to LeBron James and the Miami Heat. They appeared to be on the cusp of reaching the pinnacle, and then came the James Harden trade that began a series of unfortunate events for the Thunder.

Over the course of the next few years, Oklahoma City continued to knock on the door and reached the Western Conference Finals multiple times. Following the 2015-16 season ending series loss to Golden State, superstar Kevin Durant jumped ship leaving Westbrook as the last man standing.

The Thunder have since done their best to surround Westbrook with the pieces he needs, most notably Paul George. Unfortunately, following an up and down season and an opening round drubbing at the hands of the Portland Trailblazers, the Thunder still appear to have some glaring weaknesses that they will look to address in the upcoming NBA Draft.

Oklahoma City holds the 21st overall pick, and while they are unlikely to find a “game-changer” outside of the lottery, there should be plenty of intriguing options for the Thunder to choose from that could provide an immediate boost.

Known for their defense and in need of shooting, here is a look at three intriguing prospects that have been linked to the Thunder as they prepare for the June 20th NBA Draft.
