Kerry Blackshear is the top available NCAA basketball grad transfer on the market this offseason. Who are some of his top options?

The transfer market has grown in prevalence tremendously over the past few years. And due to the immediate eligibility that comes as a result of being a graduate transfer, these players are more highly sought-after than perhaps anyone else in the offseason. Looking ahead to this coming season, some of the top NCAA basketball programs in the nation are eager to potentially land grad transfer big Kerry Blackshear Jr.

Widely regarded as the top grad transfer on the market this offseason, Blackshear has received interest from just about every major program in the nation. A 6-foot-10 versatile big man, Blackshear is coming off of a great season in which he posted averages of 14.9 points (.508/.333/.736), 7.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game while starting all 35 contests for Virginia Tech. He clearly put together an outstanding campaign and brings a versatile skillset to the table.

At this point in time, it seems as though his list is down to six major contenders with a few viewed as the favorites:

Blackshear’s versatility will allow him to fit on most rosters and he would be a major impact player on each of these teams. These six mostly represent squads that are, at the very least, likely to make the NCAA Tournament next season and he could be looking to add another deep run in the postseason to his college resume.
