A new Busting Brackets podcast episode has been released. What do the writers have to say about the top NCAA Basketball and NBA Draft topics?

After a crazy 2018-19 NCAA Basketball season, the drama and news has yet to quiet down. Between transfers, coaching moves and NBA Draft decisions, a lot has happened in regards to the sport. That’s why we at Busting Brackets had to do another podcast episode to break it all down.

Mychal Hunter ( @ACCBR1) and Tristan Freeman (@hoopsnut351) joins regular hosts Brian Rauf (@brauf33) and Connor Hope (@CondorianFM) to discuss it all. We first talk about all of the major decisions regarding the NBA Draft. While there were a higher number of underclassmen players opting to go pro, there were also some top-tier players electing to return for the 2019-20 season. Who are the ones that will have the biggest impact on their respective teams? Same goes for some departures who may end up being more damaging than originally thought.

But it’s not all just about the players, as over 50 coaching changes occurred this offseason, whether via firing, retirement or replacing someone who opted for greener pastures. There were some homerun hires like those that occurred in the SEC but there also some that were questionable. How do the guys feel about Mick Cronin’s chances at succeeding at UCLA? Is he set up for failure or could achieve high levels of success at the historical powerhouse?

One player who won’t be part of NCAA Basketball is RJ Hampton, a five-star recruit in the 2019 class. His finalists were Kansas, Texas Tech and Memphis but in the end, he opted to go overseas and play for the New Zealand Breakers, making the decision a month beforehand. Do the guys have an issue with how it went down overall?
