Ohio State basketball has been quite successful on the recruiting trail as of late. Who does head coach Chris Holtmann have coming in from the 2019 class?

Ohio State basketball has been one of the most successful programs in the nation throughout the 21st century. Even with a few down seasons, it is almost always reasonable to assume that the program will post a strong season behind a quality combination of talent and elite coaching. Most of this can be attributed to the leadership of former coach Thad Matta, but Chris Holtmann has done a tremendous job in his time with the program as well. It also seems as though the program’s future just continues to get brighter with Holtmann’s recruiting victories.

Heading into this coming campaign, Ohio State is bringing in the No. 13 overall recruiting class in the nation. This group, which consists of an underrated seven-footer and three top-50 talents, looks poised to make an immediate impact in Columbus. The Buckeyes are widely predicted to be a top-half team in the Big Ten during 2019-20 and these newcomers are major reasons why. It is also reasonable to assume that Coach Holtmann and Co. will develop these players into stars during their time with the program.

Ohio State’s recruiting class will come in as the top-rated group in the Big Ten for this coming season and that is no easy feat. Coach Holtmann clearly did a tremendous job across the board with regards to spotting talent and building these relationships.

Now, without any further ado, let’s dive into analyzing each of the four incoming freshmen for the Buckeyes. (Note: All recruiting rankings used in this article were found via 247Sports Composite.)
