28. Jontay Porter, Missouri

19 years old | Center | 6-foot-11 | 210.4 lbs

Stats: Missed sophomore season (knee)

Jontay Porter missed his entire sophomore season and that has caused a significant drop in NBA Draft stock. With that said, though, he put together a strong freshman campaign in 2017-18 and still projects as a potential first-round pick. This is mainly due to the fact that he has an extremely high ceiling and could be worth a selection as a long-term project with star potential at the star potential. This star potential is based on his versatility as a stretch big with the ability to score and defend in the paint. He shot 36.4% from beyond the arc and swatted 1.7 blocks per game (in 24.5 minutes) as a freshman. Below-average athleticism for his position is one concern and there are obvious injury risks.

27. Bruno Fernando, Maryland

20 years old | Center | 6-foot-10.25 | 237.0 lbs

Stats (SO): 13.6 ppg (.607/.300/.779), 10.6 rpg, 1.9 bpg

Bruno Fernando is one of the most physically prepared players in this draft class. He is remarkably strong, boasts a tremendous motor, and also brings a lengthy wingspan that will help him out at the next level. With regards to his strengths, it is clear that Fernando projects as a strong inside presence. During his two collegiate seasons, Fernando was a dominant rebounder. He averaged a double-double during this past campaign and that largely a result of his strength, positioning, and motor. If there is a loose ball, he will find a way to get to it. Additionally, he is a solid all-around defender due to his combination of muscular build and athleticism. On the offensive end, he is at his best in clean-up situations but has shown the ability to stretch the floor a bit. He will need to develop more consistency from distance, though. Fernando might not boast a ton of star potential but should be a solid player for several years.
