The Atlantic 10 has some of the best players at the mid-major level. Dayton Basketball may have the best player in the entire conference for next season in Obi Toppin.

The Atlantic 10 conference is one of the premier mid major conferences in basketball. Last season was an outlier for the conference as many of the premier teams experienced down seasons. For the first time in a long time the conference was in danger of placing one team in the NCAA tournament. The league did end with two teams in the dance, due to an upset in the conference tournament.  The A-10 appears poised for a bounce back this season.

The Dayton Flyers are one of those traditional powers in the conference. Once led by current Indiana coach Archie Miller, who took the Dayton program to the next level. The Flyers had a better season in year two under Anthony Grant a season ago, however this season appears to be the one the Flyers will return to the tournament. Coach Grant is armed with a deep roster and some high major transfers.

Sophomore forward and star player Obi Toppin decided to put his name into the NBA draft and go through the process this summer. Toppin decided to return to Dayton for his sophomore year and he is the player who can put Dayton over the top this season. The forward has the potential to win the A-10 Player of the Year. Toppin and the Flyers are going to have stiff competition for the top spot in the league, with six teams having a chance to win it.
