Romeo Langford from Indiana Basketball is one of the more polarizing prospects in the 2019 NBA Draft. Here is a look at his draft profile.
Romeo Langford, former Indiana Basketball player, was one of the most hyped freshmen entering the 2018-19 college basketball season. With him being the first Indiana Mr. Basketball to suit up for the Hoosiers since Cody Zeller, expectations for everyone involved were extremely high.
Unfortunately though, both parties went on to fail in meeting those expectations. Indiana finished with a less than stellar 19-16 record (8-12 in the Big Ten), and Romeo saw his draft stock fall throughout the season.
It was not all downhill for Langford though. The 6-foot-6, 215-pound wing showed flashes of greatness throughout the year. In doing so he averaged 16.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game on the season.
Despite what some might consider a disappointing freshman showcase, Langford showed a knack to get to the basket and an impressive ability to score inside; he shot an eye-opening 65.9 percent when at the rim.
That, combined with a display of sneaky playmaking and defensive potential, has kept his draft position from falling too far. He is still a lock to be selected in the first round.
Those positives mixed together with a fair share of negatives, such as his lack of a consistent shot from deep (27.2 percent on the year), make him one of the most hotly debated prospects in the 2019 NBA Draft. With that being said, here is a closer look at everything there is to know about Romeo Langford.
