1. Justin Wright-Foreman – Hofstra

2018-19 stats: 27.1 ppg 4.0 rpg 2.9 apg

Justin Wright-Foreman was the second-leading scorer in NCAA Basketball last season and won CAA Player of the Year for the second time while at Hofstra. Of all the many accolades the star guard obtained, his inability to get to the NCAA Tournament hurt his overall national exposure.

But scouts know how he was at Hofstra, averaging around 23 ppg in his three years as a starter. Th 6’2 guard shot over 50% from the field this past season and an impressive 43% from three-point range on 7.4 attempts. You can add 81% from the free throw line in all four years as well.

The reason though why the mid-major star could very well go undrafted is that he’s a shooting guard in a point guard’s body. He’s undersized and just isn’t much of a facilitator. He’ll have to improve as a passer or be wildly underrated as an athlete for NBA folks to believe that his scoring prowess can translate to the next level.

Despite being the clear No. 1 option on a team not overall very talented, Wright-Foreman still managed to score not only at an extremely high level but also efficiently as well. The measurables and coming from a small school works against him but by no means should be counted out. Utah could use some perimeter scoring for next season so why not go after one of the best?
