Zion Williamson was the best player in college basketball during this past season and should now be heading to the NBA Draft. How does he stack up?

Zion Williamson. The man, the myth, the legend. He might not have made the Final Four in his lone collegiate season this past year but it is hard to find many players in recent memory that have made more highlights. Duke is typically the most hated team in the country but that was not the case with Zion on the roster. In fact, he somehow managed the Blue Devils fun to watch with his jaw-dropping slams, ridiculous close-outs, and crowd-silencing blocks. He was…sensational…unreal…generational.

To put it simply, though, he was the best player in college basketball.

But after falling to Michigan State in the Elite Eight, Williamson’s college career came to an end. Due to his sensational season and tremendous upside, Williamson is set to take his talents to the biggest basketball stage, the NBA. And thanks to his decorated freshman season, most expect that he will be the first name called on June 20th. If this is the case, he will more than likely become the newest member of the New Orleans Pelicans.

In terms of projection Zion as an NBA player, he is extremely interested. Due to his size, athleticism, and all-around skill, there is no true comparison for who he might play like at the next level. With that said, though, his sheer dominance at the college level was evident and it seems very likely that he will be a star for many years in the NBA. So, without any more introduction, let’s take a deeper look at his draft profile.
