Kansas basketball is once again bringing in a highly-touted recruiting class. How will these players be able to impact the future for the Jayhawks?

There are few programs in the country in the same caliber as Kansas basketball. Year in and year out, head coach Bill Self always puts together an outstanding roster capable of taking home the national title. While the program has only secured one title under his leadership, the level of consistency is outrageous and it should be a matter of time before another banner is hung in Lawrence. This past season, though, was a bit disappointing as a result of injuries and the 2019 recruiting class was looking relatively weak for a period of time as well.

But, as a result of some late-season commits, Kansas basketball now owns the No. 15 recruiting class in the country for this coming season. This has immediately moved up them up the preseason rankings (in addition to a transfer addition) and they now look poised to be top-10 team in the nation once again. Kansas’ 2019-20 projections might not have looked all that great a couple of months ago, but Coach Self once again has put together a tremendous roster with high hopes for a deep run in the postseason.

In order for that to come to fruition, his incoming commits will need to impact the program right away. Of course, the Jayhawks are returning their fair share of talent, so these impacts do not need to be tremendous, but at least one or two players need to emerge as solid rotation players. Given the fact that all four commits are ranked in the nation’s top-150, that seems likely.

Now, without any further ado, let’s dive into the four commits joining the program and analyze what they might bring to the table during their careers.
