There are always bound to be players that outperform their NBA Draft selection at the next level. Who might some of those players be from the 2019 class?

Uncertainty is one of the many reasons why the NBA Draft is one of the best sporting events of the year. Even though there aren’t any games being played, there is a feel about the event that makes it so special. For some of the top young basketball players in the country, they accomplish their dreams of being selected in the NBA Draft. For fans, they get to see who the next rising stars will be for their favorite teams and the league as a whole. With the 2019 NBA Draft in mind, every expert in the country agreed that Zion Williamson was the top prospect in the class and he was selected with the No. 1 overall pick.

Throughout the rest of the Draft, though, franchises around the league were looking for their best possible pick. Of course, many prospects fell in their projected draft ranges but several slipped a bit further than expected while others rose. This is often a result of franchises either prioritizing a certain skill or their positional needs. Because of this, there were quite a few players that could be deemed great “value picks.” In my opinion, a “value pick” is classified by those that either were selected below where their talent/potential lie at this point in time or landed with an elite fit in their projected draft range.

Due to the mystery of the NBA Draft, it is impossible to determine which players will actually pan out. But, for some of the players that fell on Draft Night, their high-risk/high-reward label quickly changed to low-risk/high-reward, making them very valuable selections. Now, without any further ado, let’s dive into 10 of the best “value picks” just following the 2019 NBA Draft.
