The team a prospect gets drafted by can have as much of an impact on that NCAA Basketball player’s career as raw talent. These prospects are headed to the worst situations from the 2019 NBA Draft.

There are always busts in every draft, and the 2019 NBA Draft figures to be no different. Somewhere along the line there will be a number of former NCAA Basketball players who flame out and don’t make it in the league.

This happens for a number of reasons. Sometimes a player simply doesn’t have the talent to make it. Other times they don’t put the work in to develop and end up losing a roster spot. Off-court problems can end a player’s career as well.

Landing in a bad situation can end a prospect’s career before it every really gets started, too. We’ve seen countless prospects end up on rosters loaded at their position or with other players that possess a similar skill set and they simply get overlooked in favor of more experienced players. A bad coach for bad system fit can same the same effect, too.

Every player wants to be selected as high as possible to get a more lucrative rookie contract, but being drafted by the right team is just as important as anything else.

Which players have ended up in less-than-ideal situations following the NBA Draft? Here are the five players that are headed to the worst situations.
