Louisville basketball is on the right track under head coach Chris Mack. Who are the newcomers arriving on campus by way of the 2019 recruiting class?

Louisville basketball has been one of the most successful programs throughout the course of the 21st century. The Cardinals have reached 15 NCAA Tournaments, three Final Fours, and also gained a national championship over the last 20 years (asterisk aside). While the majority of their successes can be attributed to former head coach Rick Pitino, it is certainly important to take note of what Chris Mack has done with the program in only one season at the helm. He has already taken an overlooked Louisville team to the NCAA Tournament and now is bringing in one of the top-rated recruiting classes in the country.

Looking ahead to the future for the program, the Cardinals’ incoming class is ranked at No. 11 in the country. The group consists of six total commits, four in the top-100, and should immediately impact the program. In addition, Louisville has plenty of experienced talent. Among those experienced members are Fresh Kimble, Darius Perry, Ryan McMahon, Jordan Nwora, Dwayne Sutton, Malik Williams, and Steven Enoch. According to T-Rank, the Cardinals are returning 67.1% of their minutes and 71.8% of their possession minutes.

Due to the amount of returning and incoming talent on the roster for this coming season, many have already pegged Louisville as a preseason top-10 team in the country. In order for those predictions to be proved correct, at least a couple of these newcomers will need to post standout campaigns right away. Considering the overall rankings of the newcomers and their pre-college film, it seems extremely likely that will occur. This group features plenty of talent at spots that will need to be filled in the rotation.

Now, without any further ado, let’s dive into analyzing Louisville’s six incoming commits. (Note: All recruiting rankings were found via 247Sports Composite.)
