With the NBA Draft is complete, many NCAA basketball rosters have emerged as the best in the nation for 2019-20. Which squads make our way-too-early top-25?

The 2019-20 NCAA basketball season is still several months away. With that said, though, the offseason is an extremely exciting time filled with recruiting battles and practices for improving each program. Now that the NBA Draft is complete, the top rosters for this coming college basketball season are starting to come together. We, as writers and fans, now know which players are returning for another season and which top recruits are headed to their future schools. Of course, writing a preseason top-25 in late-June might still seem to be “way-too-early” but what’s the harm in a little fun exercise?

Due to the fact that there have not been any games in the 2019-20 season, it is impossible to say with certainty who the best teams in the nation will be. There are bound to be surprises, both positive and negative, every single year and those cannot be predicted. Still, there is nothing wrong with making some predictions. There are several programs that are consistently successful year after year, and it is fair to assume that they will once again boast superb seasons. In addition, there are several other factors that go into projecting teams.

These include analyzing returning talent, transfers, coaching changes, and incoming recruiting classes. It is never easy to determine who the preseason top-25 teams in the nation will be, but this is my way-too-early look at who those might be based on my own opinion. Some of the top programs were given some benefit of the doubt due to their consistent successes of the past, but others simply look far too impressive on paper to be ignored.

Without any further ado, let’s dive into my way-too-early preseason top-25.
