NCAA Basketball: Updated way-too-early 2019-20 top-25
5. Kansas Jayhawks
Kansas has been the most consistent program in the nation throughout the 21st century. Although they might not have the most titles, their ability to always stay in the national spotlight as a contender is unbelievable. Head coach Bill Self is remarkable and he has a great roster as a result of some recent decisions. Perhaps above all others, the Jayhawks received great news with the returns of Devon Dotson and Udoka Azubuike. These two will be integral parts of the rotation and losing them would have been crushing.
Additionally, they landed one of the best graduate transfers in the country in Isaiah Moss. A sharpshooting wing who is coming off a solid season at Iowa, Moss will be a great floor-spacer for this team. In addition, the incoming recruiting class received a late-signing-period boost in the form of Tristan Enaruna and Jalen Wilson, two top-100 players, both deciding to play in Lawrence.
Finally, sophomore Ochai Agbaji looks poised for a monster year. He was quite solid during this past season and he has star potential during this campaign. If he is able to hit his ceiling, the Jayhawks could be the top team in the nation. Either way, Kansas should be a top-10 team and the favorite to win the Big 12 once again.
