Washington basketball is bringing in one of the top recruiting classes in the country. Who are their incoming newcomers and what might they bring?

Washington basketball seems to be potentially back on the rise. In just his second season at the helm of the program, head coach Mike Hopkins was not only able to secure an NCAA Tournament bid but he also guided the team to the Pac-12 regular season title. Even though they lost in the second round of the Big Dance, it was clearly a step in the right direction for a program that had missed the previous seven tournaments. Additionally, it seems like Coach Hopkins is only getting started as expectations are high for this coming season as a result of bringing in a top-ranked recruiting class.

Even though Washington is losing three key seniors in Noah Dickerson, David Crisp, and Matisse Thybulle, as well as top scorer Jaylen Nowell, many are predicting that the program is on the fringe of the preseason rankings. Although not ranked in our top-25, the Huskies were heavily considered and are right on the edge. This is mainly due to the fact that Washington is not only bringing in a top-rated transfer in Quade Green but is also welcoming the No. 10 overall recruiting class to Seattle.

This class, which features four newcomers, including two ranked in the nation’s top-10, is expected to make a major impact on campus right away. It will be difficult to make up for Washington’s graduating class but the program should be right back in the NCAA Tournament at the end of this coming season. In order for that to happen, a couple of these newcomers will need to be immediate contributors.

Now, without any further ado, let’s dive into analyzing what the four incoming freshmen might bring to the table.
