Five-star prospect Jalen Suggs might be the most unique NCAA Basketball recruit in the 2020 class. Which teams are most in play for his signature?

It’s been a great past week for NCAA Basketball recruit Jalen Suggs, making the final cut for the U19 team for US Basketball. He’ll be participating in the World Cup this summer along with some of the other top players in the 2020 class. He could very well even start at the point guard position against the best players in the world in his age group.

It’s another showcase for Suggs, who arguably is the best overall athlete in next year’s recruiting class. Besides being an elite 6’5 guard who can finish at the rim and dictate tempo, he also is a quality football player as well. He’s listed as a four-star duel quarterback who has received a ton of interest from some of the top programs in the country, including at Ohio State and Alabama. While he may ultimately choose to focus on basketball in college, the door isn’t closed on potentially playing both sports.

That in itself could be a huge factor in his overall recruitment. Among his reported finalists, a couple (Gonzaga and Marquette) are primary basketball schools. The others are open to him playing both sports, which could be appealing for Suggs. But assuming this is a basketball decision, one of these programs are going to land a top-10 overall recruit, something they never do. The fact that programs such as Duke, Kansas, Kentucky and others aren’t expected to even be in the picture, this kind of recruitment is a must-watch through the Summer and the Fall.

Which teams are in the best spot to land Suggs? Here’s a look at the current state of both the rosters and program at large.
