With another offseason of the coaching carousel behind us, what were some of the under-the-radar NCAA Basketball hires that are going to affect the future of these programs?

As another offseason progresses, a great number of programs find themselves with new head coaches. Some programs are completely rebuilding while others have lost their coaches to better jobs and will try to sustain success. There’s been a great deal of change in the NCAA Basketball landscape in nearly every single corner of the nation.

Prominent programs like Michigan, UCLA, and Arkansas made changes this offseason. Coaches like Nate Oats, Eric Musselman, and Mike Anderson have new head coaching positions, while NBA guys like Jerry Stackhouse and Juwan Howard begin their head coaching career. Either way, these coaches have busied themselves on the recruiting trail, now just four months away from the beginning of next season.

While these high-profile hires will be discussed endlessly until that season starts, there are a lot of other intriguing hires that aren’t getting as much praise or focus. Whenever a team like UCLA changes coaches, there’s going to be a lot of media attention, but the same doesn’t happen for many of the other programs in southern California.

We’re going to take a look at five under-the-radar hires that could turn into really solid additions to some programs. These aren’t necessarily small programs, though each of these head coaches are in position to do great things in the future. Without further ado, let’s run through these five new coaches.
