Tennessee basketball is fresh off back-to-back successful seasons. As a result of strong recruiting, the program has some talented 2019 newcomers.

Tennessee basketball might be back on the rise. Ever since head coach Rick Barnes took over as the leader of the program, the Volunteers have been continuously improving both on the court and on the recruiting trail. The program is consistently bringing in high-level talents and the coaching staff is doing a great job developing those players throughout their time with the program. There is no better example of their development than the fact that three Volunteers heard their name called at the 2019 NBA Draft.

Tennessee is coming off back-to-back seasons finishing in the top-15 of the AP poll and this seems like just the beginning for the program. Heading into this coming season, the Volunteers are bringing in the No. 23 overall recruiting class in the country. This group, which features one of the top players in the entire land, should be ready to take the torch from the players who are now in the NBA. Of course, it will likely prove difficult for Tennessee to repeat the performances of the past two seasons, but it would be a mistake to overlook the returning and incoming talent.

Coach Barnes has been incredibly successful throughout his career and that seems to be continuing in Knoxville. The Volunteers are not expected to be one of the favorites in the SEC this season but they still have the potential to be quite successful. Managing to reach a third consecutive NCAA Tournament would be another positive step as this recruiting class would make an immediate impact while showcasing their bright future together.

Now, without any further ado, let’s dive into each of the incoming 2019 commits for Tennessee.
