NCAA Basketball class of 2020 forward Coleman Hawkins says that his recruitment is currently open.

Consensus three-star 2020 NCAA Basketball prospect Coleman Hawkins is still sorting through his college options although he has already made two college visits. Hawkins took an unofficial visit to Marquette this past weekend and spoke to Adam Zagoria of ZAGSBLOG about his time on the Milwaukee campus.

The 6-8, 195-pound combo forward has good length and can shoot the ball. Hawkins is a fluid athlete and can handle the ball in transition. He is also a good passer and can guard multiple positions. Additionally, the Antelope (Calif.) native can block shots and is a decent rebounder.

Hawkins is rated as a three-star prospect by both 247Sports Composite and 247Sports. However, Composite has him as the 199th best prospect in the class while the regular site has him situated at No. 177. Rivals also have Hawkins as a three-star prospect. Meanwhile, ESPN gives him four-stars.

"“It was cool and they talked about how much they’re growing as a program and how they don’t have a player on the team like me.” “Their main message was to get stronger and put on some pounds and that player development is a huge thing. They’re also together as a team.”"

Hawkins officially visited Rutgers on June 14. He holds 11 offers overall with Arizona, Nevada, Wake Forest, Boise State, Washington State, San Diego State, Detroit, and Illinois being the other schools to make overtures. St. Mary’s, Cal Berkeley, Washington State, Arizona State, Arizona, Ohio State, Oregon, and Gonzaga have been to Prolific Prep to see him.

Hawkins said that he is in no rush to commit, although it is possible that he will do so in November.
