NCAA Basketball: Ranking all 67 NCAA Tournament games from 2019

30. #10 Florida 70, #7 Nevada 61 (Round of 64)
A year earlier, the 7-seeded Wolf Pack erased a 22-point lead against Cincinnati to make the Sweet Sixteen, but they could not pull the same magic this year. The Gators made their shots early, while Nevada fell behind by as many as 18 points in the second half. The Wolf Pack were within 2 points in the final two minutes, but went cold from the field and could never grab the lead. A very talented Nevada team was out in round one, even with Cody Martin’s 23 points and 19 from brother Caleb. Florida made 45% of their shots and got double-digit scoring from four of their starters, led by 16 points from Kevarrius Hayes. Nevada gave it a run, but couldn’t quite pull of another incredible comeback win.
29. #2 Michigan State 76, #15 Bradley 65 (Round of 64)
With just over seven minutes left, Bradley held the lead over the Spartans. The Braves led at the half, perhaps giving Spartans fans flashbacks to their shocking Tourney loss to Middle Tennessee. Fortunately, the MVC champs ran out of gas late, despite a 19-point effort from Elijah Childs. The Spartans spurted late to pull away, needing Cassius Winston’s 26 points to win this game. The Spartans shot an incredible 96.2% from the free throw line, icing the game when they needed it. There were certainly some gasps, but this future Final Four team did what they needed to do in the second half.
28. #16 North Dakota State 78, #16 North Carolina Central 74 (First Four)
This may have been a First Four game between two lowly conference winners, but these two teams both played hard, with the Bison having the slight edge across the board. They extended a 6-point halftime edge to a 13-point lead and held on against the Eagles’ late charge. Both teams shot greater than 42% from both long-range and the field. Tyson Ward paced the Bisons with 23 points while Vinnie Shahid hit the late free throws to secure the win.
